There is great news for chocolate lovers…Chocolate is good for your health! Now, we are not talking here about a candy bar but about real chocolate, the kind that contains at least 71% of real cocoa. Something to remember when selecting chocolate is that the darker it is, the less sugar it contains and the better it is for you.
We are all aware of the emotional benefits of chocolate. By liberating endorphins in the body, chocolate provides us with feelings of comfort and wellbeing, energy and pleasure. Some surveyed women go as far a saying that they would prefer chocolate to sex! No wonder with such a texture, rich color and taste, chocolate is not only an aphrodisiac but also a pleasure for the senses. In addition, chocolate also contains serotonin and caffeine which both provide energy and promote good humor.
Pleasure aside, chocolate also holds beneficial health properties. Chocolate’s complex chemical composition offers a variety of substances that the body needs to function properly and to prevent disease.
Chocolate enhances cardiovascular health. Like red wine, the phenols contained in dark chocolate help prevent coronary diseases. The British Medical Journal reports that a daily portion of 100 grams of dark chocolate reduces blood pressure and the occurrence of cardiovascular incidents by 21%. These phenols are also rich in antioxidants and they help neutralize free radicals produced by the body or absorbed thought cigarette smoke and other sources of pollution. Cocoa butter is already used in creams to heal scars and burns. No wonder pharmaceutical companies are now exploring the possibility of researching with chocolate to develop new medication to counter cancers and osteoporosis.
Chocolate does contain fats but these are unsaturated and contribute to reducing bad cholesterol and to increasing good cholesterol. Chocolate is also an excellent source of magnesium. Should it contain nuts, chocolate can become a great source phosphor and vegetable iron.
One of the many benefits of living in our time is that there is a plethora of organic and fair trade chocolates that are readily available to us in natural health food and grocery stores. The benefits of purchasing these types of chocolates abound but the most obvious are that they do not contain organochlorine pesticides that are usually used to treat traditional cocoa crops and that are harmful not only to the consumer but also to the field worker. Furthermore, purchasing fair trade chocolate ensures that the (healthier) worker can benefit from improved working and living conditions by receiving a fair salary for their work.
Like with everything however, chocolate must be consumed in good measure. Chocolate increases caloric intake and energy level. This can be good, provided these calories are burned. We might even change the saying to "Some chocolate everyday keeps the doctor away!"

Weren’t we taught to share?
Isn’t that what we learned in kindergarten?
Or from our family?
Well, I’ve got some great news for those people who like to be a little selfish (and even for those who aren’t).
When it comes time to lose weight and improve your health…
It’s good to be selfish.
Dang good.
Let me explain…
When I talk in terms of “selfish”, I am talking in terms of looking out for number one first.
And that means you.
Because if you don’t look out for yourself in this process, no one is going to do it for you.
Not your doctor, your nutritionist, your friends……..not even your family.
Nope.
You may not believe me now……
But you will see.
You are going to have to be selfish and take time for yourself to get in the shape that you want to be in.
Take time to exercise.
Take time to cooking your own meals to eat right.
Take time to think about your plan of action.
Take time to implement your plan.
You have to be selfish.
Sounds a little wrong doesn’t it???
That’s OK, whoever questions you (and if they are truly behind you, they shouldn’t)…
Tell them that I said it’s OK.
And go back to implementing your plan.
Don’t ever, ever, ever (do I need to say it more?) rely on anybody else getting YOU in shape.
It’s up to you.
And that’s the great thing.
Because that means that YOU fully control where you want to be in life.
Want to blast the fat off your body?
It’s up to you.
Want to lose weight?
It’s up to you.
Want to build muscle fast?
It’s up to you.
Some people don’t realize how powerful this little idea can be.
But since you have complete control over your fitness…you have the ability and power to be selfish and realize all of your goals.
Hey, you can admit, it feels good to be a little selfish sometimes, doesn’t it?
I see you smiling and nodding your head in agreement.
And when it comes to your health and fitness, now is the time to be selfish…
Don’t worry, you can continue being unselfish in all of the other parts of your life.
But for now, it’s time to make time to eat right, exercise the right way, and lose weight and improve your health.
Take heed, and get in shape the “right way” by being selfish and by going to http://www.fitnesswithchris.com
You won’t regret it.
I’ll talk to you soon.

Most people are born healthy and most diseases are self-created. A person living a natural life does not fall sick. Birds and animals are seldom sick. Human beings are the most unnatural creatures. A healthy life, free from ailments, is necessary for a happy life, and a healthy life has its foundation in nature.
Since the olden days, there has been a saying among elderly people, “healthy body is the first happiness”. All the wealth is meaningless without good health. A sick person can do no good to himself, his family, to the society or to the country. Nor can he perform his religious duties. The aim of a human being should be to understand the rules of good health and to obey them, so that he does not have to depend on doctors burden his life with medicines.
Pure air
The first necessity for good health is pure air. People living in cities breathe polluted air all the time. They should go to a nearby garden or park with plenty of trees and greenery. They should inhale the fresh and pure morning air at least for one hour every day so that they may get vital energy along with oxygen and other necessary elements.
Physical Exercise

They should inhale the fresh and pure morning air at least for one hour every day so that they may get vital energy along with oxygen and other necessary elements.
Food and water
The third necessity of good health is food and water. Food should be simple and clean, and in a limited quantity. The best policy is to stop eating when you feel you could eat a little more. The digestive organs have to work overtime if you go on eating until you can eat no more. Overeating or over stuffing yourself may cause problems in your digestive system and shorten your life span. Small morsels, well chewed, are more satisfying and this will automatically reduce the quantity of your intake., It is good to concentrate on food while eating. Talking or thinking of other things while eating, impairs the proper assimilation of the nutritive value of food in the system. People who take a balanced diet, consisting of vegetables and fruits and less quantity of wheat or rice do not suffer from ailments and they do riot become fat and lethargic.
Clean water, a little at, a time, should be taken in a large quantity. Water cooled by artificial methods and ice, are harmful. Drinking cold water along with a meal or immediately after it, is harmful, too. Eating at a late hour in the night is a common habit which may lead to serious problems.
